How to make

First, make the Japanese tea.

It’s Ochazuke, so it wouldn’t start without Japanese tea.
Put a Japanese tea bag in the pot and pour in the tea.
By the way, as a side note, if you make the tea with boiling water, you will get a tea with a strong astringency. If you make tea with warm water, you will get a tea with less astringency.

Wait for about a minute.

If you wait a minute, the tea will ooze out; if you wait a minute, the tea will come out well. If you wait too long, it will become too thick and bitter.Check it by opening the lid, and when it is well done, it is OK.

Pour the tea over the rice.

Pour just enough to keep the rice from sinking into the tea. If the rice is covered by the tea, it will not look good because you will be sprinkling furikake on it later. Appearance is very important.

It is very tasteless as it is, so I put ochazuke furikake on it.
This is not ordinary furikake, but furikake for ochazuke.
Unlike regular furikake, ochazuke furikake contains dashi stock and freeze-dried green tea.
The rice with the tea will look and taste amazing.

Yes, it’s done! It took me about 3 minutes to make oatmeal.
This time I just sprinkled furikake on top, but many other things go well with ochazuke.
For example, I often put grilled salmon or pickled plums on top. In general, anything with a strong saltiness goes well with ochazuke.
There are many different flavors of furikake for ochazuke. I will add the products to the store on this site so that everyone can buy them.
