In Japan, the first event after New Year’s Day in January is Coming of Age Day.
Coming of Age Day is a day to celebrate young people turning 20 years old and is a national holiday in Japan.

Ozoni is a dish that is eaten during the New Year’s holiday, but there are so many different kinds of zoni.
Although Japan is a small country, each prefecture has its own version of this unusual dish.
I can’t introduce all of them, but I will introduce some of the typical ones as well as some of the more unusual ones.
First, let’s take a look at Ozoni in the famous Japanese cities of Tokyo and Osaka and Hokkaido.

The first day of the month is called “Osyougatsu” in Japan. And January 1st to January 3rd is called “Sanganichi” 三が日(three days).
There are many different ways to celebrate the New Year all over the world. I would like to introduce you to the “Osyougatsu” お正月 Japanese New Year.

As you walk through the old streets of Japan, you may find such round spheres hanging in the upper part of the front of the house.
This sphere is not an ordinary ball, but a mysterious ball that is a little fluffy and you do not know what it is made of.
Moreover, it is not attached to all homes.
