Omelettes are a familiar food!
Let’s cook an omelette in the style of okonomiyaki. And because it uses rice cakes, it’s very filling! And it will fill you up too!
It only takes about 10 minutes to cook and is extremely easy.
Please try cooking!
Ingredients
- Rice cakes: 2~3 cut
- Cheese: as desired
- Egg: 1 egg
Method
STEP 1
Cut rice cake into small pieces. Mochi, like cheese, softens when heated.
Cut them as small as possible so they are easier to eat!
STEP 2
Beat the egg in a bowl, add the rice cake and cheese from STEP1, Hondashi, and A, and mix well.
STEP 3
Heat oil in a frying pan, pour in the batter from STEP2, stir over medium heat, and move the batter to the edge of the pan to form an omelette.
STEP 4
Add a little water, cover, and cook over low heat for 4 minutes, then flip and cook for 1 minute; when browned, remove to a serving dish.
STEP 5
Top with Otafuku sauce, aonori (green laver), and mayonnaise, and you have an omelet-style okonomiyaki made with just mochi and cheese!
