Simple Mushroom Rice Mixture with Chiyo Dashi

Just mix it with cooked rice…it’s easy and tasty mixed rice with dashi broth!

Ingredients

  • shiitake mushroom 2 or 3 pieces
  • Shimeji mushroom 1 share
  • carrot 1/4 of a carrot
  • sesame oil to taste
  • Cooked rice 2 cups

Seasonings

1 tablespoon sake
1 tablespoon mirin (sweet cooking sake)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
Dashi stock packet 1 bag

Method

STEP 1

Cut shiitake mushrooms and shimeji mushrooms into bite-size pieces. Cut carrots into smaller pieces and saute in sesame oil.

STEP 2

When thoroughly cooked, tear open the seasonings and dashi packet and add them.
Stir-fry until all the liquid is absorbed.

STEP 3

Add to cooked white rice and mix well.

STEP4

We used this dashi broth packet from Chiyo Dashi Soup stock.
